My Reel

The television industry is constantly changing. It is clear, without developing the ability to adapt, this business will surely leave you behind. During my time at KMGH (ABC) Denver, CO and WTVD(ABC) Raleigh, NC, I have learned to do it all. My experience includes: reporting, anchoring, writing, shooting video, editing, investigative producing/reporting, editing for the web and working as a Multi-Media Journalist. These experiences allow me to offer my future employer a broad skill set that includes the ability to adjust, adapt and conquer any challenge that may stand in my way. I know how to find, execute and tell a great story. I get the big interview and capture the key moment.

As a journalist I have traveled to the coast of North Carolina to cover Hurricane Irene, reported on former North Carolina Governor Mike Easley's investigation by the State Board of Elections, and I covered the devastating tornadoes that struck the Raleigh area in 2011. In addition, I produced an award winning investigation that uncovered a loophole in state law allowing out-of-state sex offenders to move to North Carolina without registering on the state's sex offender list.

My story telling philosophy is simple. People watch news, tailor your news around people. I tell compelling, visual stories and I take pride in connecting with people and uncovering the key nugget and the exclusive interview.
